

Mubashir founded Blantyre in 2016. As the Founding Partner & Chief Investment Officer, Mubashir is responsible for the firm’s overall direction including establishing the firm’s vision, culture and investment approach. Before founding Blantyre, Mubashir was Head of KKR’s European Special Situations business. At KKR he successfully built and scaled the business in Europe, from hiring and training a team of 10, sourcing interesting public and private investment opportunities amounting to approximately USD3.5bn invested, and innovating and developing a successful investment track record for the business in Europe. He also founded and scaled Pillarstone, a European loans platform that launched with approximately EUR1bn in 2015. Prior to KKR, Mubashir was a Managing Director at York Capital, where he helped establish the group’s European credit business, growing it to approximately USD2bn at the time of his departure. Prior to York, Mubashir worked at Deutsche Bank overseeing various special situations investments. Mubashir started his career in 1996 at Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank.
Mubashir has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Bath. He also holds an MBA with Honours from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mubashir is a guest speaker on European special situations investing in the MBA programme at the London Business School.


Fernando joined Blantyre in early 2018. As Partner & Head of Europe Investments, Fernando is responsible for overseeing Blantyre’s European investment activities and leading the investment team. He is also a voting member of Blantyre’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Blantyre, Fernando was a Principal in Special Situations at KKR Credit, focusing on special situations transactions across various industries in Europe. He also held several board positions in portfolio companies in the consumer, building materials, capital goods and paper sectors. Previously, Fernando was an Associate in the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey. He started his career in Corporate Finance at Deutsche Bank, focusing on the Industrials sector.
Fernando has a double degree in Law and Business with a Major in Finance from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE). He speaks English and Spanish.


Heloisa Chaney has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry, including over 14 years of experience in management roles in the alternative investment management industry having founded, built, and managed investment firms at a senior level. She has extensive experience overseeing a variety of private and complex credit instruments across multiple investment vehicles. Prior to joining Blantyre, she was a founding partner and COO of 400 Capital Management LLC (“400 Capital”), a structured credit asset management firm. She founded the firm in 2008 with her partners and was responsible for developing and managing the firm’s trading and asset management operations, legal, compliance, accounting, tax, HR, and systems management. She served as a member of the Investment and Operating Committees. Prior to joining 400 Capital, Heloisa was a principal at Paramax Capital Group responsible for raising, investing and managing capital across three funds, which focused on structured finance transactions, including equity in cash and synthetic CDOs and CDOs-squared and Expected Loss Notes. Heloisa was responsible for developing and implementing valuation, risk management and surveillance systems, investment and valuation policies, operational activities, portfolio management processes, and quantitative analytics. Prior to joining Paramax, Heloisa received a Masters in Financial Engineering at Columbia University, in which she focused on engineering methodologies and quantitative methods for pricing credit and equity derivatives and options. Heloisa began her career at J.P. Morgan in the Investment Banking group, and later joined the Mergers and Acquisitions group. Heloisa received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil in 1998.


Rob joined Blantyre in 2019. and was promoted to Partner in 2022. As Chief Operating Officer, Rob is focused on operational aspects of investment execution, tax structuring, financing, valuations, risk management, and reporting across the portfolio. Prior to joining Blantyre, he spent several years as an analyst at Alchemy Special Opportunities, working on a wide range of European distressed credit, special situations, and private equity transactions. Previously he was part of the in-house legal team at Duet Asset Management, and began his career in legal practice, specialising in financial services. Rob has MA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Edinburgh, a Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Certificate from BPP Law School. He is a CAIA Charterholder.


Simon joined Blantyre as an employee in July 2023 after serving as a Senior Advisor to Blantyre for 5 months. He has over 25 years of capital markets experience, focused on leverage credit, restructurings and distressed asset trading & investing. His work has seen him execute transactions globally having worked in both London & New York. Simon has worked for international banks, global institutions as well as founding his own independent niche fixed-income brokerage business. Simon commenced his Wall Street career in New York at Goldman Sachs in leverage finance structuring and origination. Thereafter he worked as a desk credit analyst in the distressed business before being asked to manage and trade the desk's capital. Simon relocated to London in 1999 and participated in the growth of the nascent European credit markets initially at Lehman Brothers as head of high yield credit trading before moving in 2001 to Deutsche Bank to be Head of Distressed Trading & Analytics. After the Global Financial Crisis Simon founded and operated Yorvik Partners, a FCA regulated institutional broker that specialized in the sourcing, analysis and distribution of European distressed credits. In 2014 Yorvik Partners was sold to Stifel Nicolaus. Most recently Simon worked for Guggenheim Partners USA as Head of Credit Sales & Trading.


Lachezar joined Blantyre in October 2024. Prior to joining Blantyre, Lachezar spent five and half years at Hayfin Capital Management as an Associate and later Principal and Director in the Special Opportunities strategy. He underwrote multiple investments across both primary and secondary markets. Prior to Hayfin, Lachezar spent three and a half years with Moelis& Company, working on multiple restructuring advisory mandates.
Lachezar holds a Masters in Finance from IE Business School in Madrid. He speaks Bulgarian and English.


Miguel joined Blantyre in September 2019 after completing his MBA programme. Prior to joining Blantyre as a Summer Intern, Miguel was an associate in the Restructuring Team at Goldman Sachs, focusing on restructuring advisory and stressed new capital opportunities across various industries in EMEA. He started his career in the Credit Risk Management and Advisory Group at Goldman Sachs.
Miguel was part of the 2019 MBA Class at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, is a CFA charterholder and has a double degree in Law and Business with a Major in Finance from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE). He speaks English and Spanish.


Laurence joined Blantyre in December 2025 as an Investment Executive. Before joining Blantyre, he spent five and a half years at Investec Bank as a Proprietary Trader and Senior Investment Analyst, focusing on opportunistic credit. He previously held investment research roles at Aberdeen and Reorg Research.
Earlier in his career, Laurence served for six years as an infantry officer in the British Army, commanding soldiers on overseas operations across multiple geographies.
Laurence is a CFA Charterholder.


Dan joined Blantyre in October 2025 as a Managing Director for the firm's U.S. Strategies. Prior to joining Blantyre, he was a Director at UBS Group AG in the Impaired Asset Management group, where he focused on restructuring of stressed / distressed loan. Prior to this, Dan was a Portfolio Manager at Verition Fund Management, investing in special situations and opportunistic credit transactions in the private and public lower/middle markets. Before joining Verition, Dan was at Centrecourt Asset Management executing bespoke, opportunistic financing solutions for companies in the lower/middle market. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking, advising companies on capital raising, restructuring, and M&A transactions. He began his career at Merrill Lynch & Co. as a High Yield Credit Analyst in the Institutional Asset Management Divsion. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University.


Prior to joining Blantyre, Johann was an Associate at Moelis & Company focusing on Financial Restructuring, M&A and Capital Markets Advisory across EMEA covering various sectors. Previously, he was an Analyst in the Leveraged Finance Team at UniCredit covering European Financial Sponsor backed buy-outs across various industries as well as add-on financings. He also worked at Lazard and IKB in investment banking. Prior to this he founded and exited three start-ups. Johann served in the German Military and was part of the Close Protection Team assuring the security of high military and Government officials.
Johann holds an MSc in Finance from the European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel (EBS), an MSc in Real Estate from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and a BA in Business from Lauder Business School, Vienna. He speaks English and German.


Michael joined Blantyre in March 2025 as a Portfolio Manager for the firm’s U.S. strategies. Prior to joining Blantyre, he was a Partner and Managing Director at Feenix Venture Partners, where he spent four and a half years focusing on lower-middle market private special situations lending. Prior to this, Michael was an Analyst at KLS Diversified Asset Management, concentrating on middle-market distressed debt and special situations investing. Earlier in his career, he was an Associate at H/2 Capital Partners, where he focused on large-cap, influential distressed debt opportunities. He began his career at Rothschild in the Restructuring Advisory Group. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University.


Nick joined the Investment Team at Blantyre in December 2024 as Transaction Counsel. Prior to joining Blantyre, Nick worked at Bank of America for six years as lawyer for the Global Credit & Special Situations Desk. Nick started his career at Ashurst LLP in the Restructuring & Special Situations Group. He has extensive experience in restructuring, insolvency and distressed investing across a wide range of jurisdictions and industries. He holds a BA Geography from Oxford University.


Marianne joined Blantyre in September 2025 as Chief Compliance Officer. She has over 15 years’ experience in financial services regulation, governance, and corporate law across global markets. A qualified solicitor, she has led FCA authorisations, built enterprise-wide compliance frameworks, and advised boards on regulatory strategy for complex, cross-border investments. Her background spans senior roles at ESR Europe, Natixis Investment Managers, Aviva Investors, KPMG, and the Financial Conduct Authority. Marianne holds an Executive PGDip in Strategic Leadership from Warwick Business School and specialist ICA certifications in corporate governance and conduct risk.


Kara joined Blantyre in 2019 to support the legal and compliance functions and currently serves as U.S. Chief Compliance Officer. Kara has over twenty years of experience advising private fund managers on fund formation, legal, compliance and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Blantyre, Kara served as Senior Editor of the Hedge Fund Law Report, a legal publication devoted to providing actionable intelligence on the laws and regulations governing private funds and their managers. Previously, Kara served as Managing Director, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of 400 Capital Management LLC (“400 Capital”), a structured credit asset management firm. Prior to 400 Capital, Kara worked for investment managers that advised funds of hedge funds in legal and compliance roles. Kara is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, and she began her legal career as an associate in Schulte Roth & Zabel’s hedge fund practice. She earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from Miami University.


Ramesh joined Blantyre in January 2024, and is Co-Head of Strategic Partnerships, overseeing the business development and capital formation activities for Blantyre Capital. Ramesh has over two decades of experience in senior leadership roles within the asset management industry across institutional marketing, product management and business development. Previously, Ramesh was at Artist Capital, a boutique merchant bank in New York. Prior to that he headed business development for Trend Capital, and was a Partner heading Marketing & Investor Relations at Moon Capital Management. Ramesh started his career at Citi, with 15 years in various roles across the organization. His last role was Managing Director at Citi Alternative Investments in New York, where he was responsible for global product development, marketing and investor relations for Citigroup’s single manager hedge fund and leveraged loan business. Ramesh graduated from the College of Engineering in Madras in Electrical Engineering and received his MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi. He is CAIA certified.


Joseph joined Blantyre in March 2025 as the Chief Financial Officer. He has over 20 years’ experience in the asset management industry and over 17 years as a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Blantyre, Joe was the Chief Financial Officer of Livello Capital Management LP, a hedge fund specializing in opportunistic credit and distressed debt. He also held similar roles at Field Street Capital Management LLC and JANA Partners LLC. Joe began his career in public accounting. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Francis College with a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Ross joined Blantyre in April of 2025 as Co-Head of Strategic Partnerships, overseeing business development and capital formation activities for Blantyre. Ross has over 25 years of capital formation experience working with sophisticated institutional and intermediary investors. Previously, Ross was at Polen Capital where he was Head of Canada and Insurance. Prior to that he was Head of Distribution for Emles Advisors and held various senior executive roles at both Schroder Investment Management and AMG Funds. Ross holds a B.A. in Economics from Denison University.
