Under Rule 2.2.3R of the Financial Conduct Authority’s (“FCA”) Conduct of Business Sourcebook (“COBS”), Blantyre Capital Limited (“Blantyre” or “the Firm”), to the extent that it manages investments for professional clients (as defined by the FCA), is required to disclose the nature of its commitment to the UK Stewardship Code 2020 (the “Code”), or, where it does not commit to the Code, to provide an explanation consistent with its investment approach.
The Code, published by the Financial Reporting Council (“FRC”), is a voluntary set of principles for responsible stewardship by investors in UK-listed companies.
Blantyre invests across a range of asset classes and jurisdictions, with limited exposure to UK-listed companies. While the Firm supports the objectives and principles of the Code and is committed to high standards of corporate governance and responsible investment, its investment strategy does not typically involve active engagement or voting rights in UK-listed companies.
Accordingly, Blantyre has chosen not to commit formally to the Code at this time. The Firm keeps this position under review and will update this disclosure should its investment strategy or level of UK equity exposure materially change. This disclosure is reviewed at least annually.
